Published!

It’s just my luck, isn’t it.. The moment I achieve one of my photography goals and get a photo published in a magazine, half the world is in lock down and no one is able to pop out to buy a copy of the magazine!! Well, lets hope there are plenty of subscribers who get their monthly fix of Digital Photographer Magazine delivered. If you do, it’s Issue #225 you want to look out for 😉

Cynical as I am, when Lauren Scott, the editor of the magazine, messaged me on Instagram to tell me that she really likes one of my images of the beautiful Pragser Wildsee (Lago di Braies) in the Dolomites and would like to use it in the magazine, I initially thought it was a scam – sorry Lauren!

After some communication on email (and I admit, I checked out she really was who she said she was, and her email address was legitimate), I forwarded her high res versions of a couple of images for her to choose from.

A few days later, I saw a story on the Digital Photographer Magazine’s Instagram profile showing the final layout of the Welcome page of the new issue. And my picture was on it! Yay! I didn’t expect to have a half-page sized image on page two, how awesome!
I guess my tagging of DP Magazine paid off after all 🙂
